Immediately after microneedling, your face will appear slightly pink or mildly red, like you would see with a mild sunburn.
This settles quickly and should not last more than 24-48 hours.
To maximise the results and support your skin’s healing process, follow these essential aftercare guidelines:
Shield from Sun: Avoid direct sunlight and wear sunscreen with a minimum SPF 30 for at least 4 weeks after your treatment.
Gentle Skincare: Refrain from using harsh skincare products or exfoliants for 48 hours following the procedure.
Heat and Steam: Steer clear of swimming, saunas, sunbeds ,steam rooms, and hot tubs for 48 hours post-treatment.
Avoid: Excessive Exercise for 48 hours following the procedure.
Makeup Etiquette: Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to allow your skin to properly recover.
Nurturing Products: Use gentle, fragrance-free skincare products on your treated skin for at least a week.
Avoid Touching.

Possible Side Effects

While microneedling is generally safe, it’s important to be aware of potential side effects, which are usually temporary and subside within a few days:

Redness: Mild redness is a common post-treatment occurrence and will fade naturally.
Swelling: Some temporary swelling may be experienced, but it will diminish over time.
Discomfort: Mild discomfort or tenderness might be felt, but it will quickly dissipate.

Contradictions

Microneedling may not be suitable for everyone. We advise against this treatment if you have any of the following conditions:

Active skin infections or herpes simplex virus in the treatment area
Undergoing immunosuppressive therapy or have an autoimmune disease
Skin cancer
Active acne
Rosacea
Eczema or psoriasis
History of keloid scarring

Warnings

Microneedling is a safe procedure when performed by professionals; however, it’s crucial to be aware of potential risks:

Infection: Proper hygiene and disinfection are essential to minimise the risk of infection.
Hyperpigmentation: Rarely, temporary darkening of the skin may occur but will typically fade.
Scarring: Extremely rare. There is a minimal risk of scarring or permanent changes to the skin.
